Sagada : Ruggedly Enchanting

Sagada is famous for  its natural beauty, its culture, & the warmth of it’s people. It’s  a quiet town nestled in the Cordillera mountain ranges in North Luzon.  The region’s  inhabitants are composed of 6 ethno-linguistic tribes known as the Apayao/Isneg, Ifugao, Ibaloy, Kankana-ey, Kalinga, and the Bontoc.  They are referred to  as  Igorot,  from the root word, “golot” meaning mountain.

Over the years as I frequently visited Benguet, my dream of  stepping  into this charming town  and better understand it’s culture never left me.  Finally,  I  embarked on a  solo trip to Sagada. (more…)
