Bohol is back in the limelight this year. And if you’re thinking of adding it on your itinerary after your Cebu trip, here’s how you can get there by sea. This blog will tell you the Cebu to Bohol ferry and fast-craft schedules and rates for 2025, as well as the Bohol to Cebu ferry schedules and fast-craft rates.
Take note there are 3 routes you can choose from Cebu to Bohol by sea.
- Cebu to Tagbilaran (Bohol) by ferry and fast-craft
- Cebu to Tubigon (Bohol) by ferry
- Cebu to Getafe (Bohol) by fast-craft
I have tried the first 2 routes, and they’re both recommended. Hopefully, in the near future, I’ll get to try the Getafe route too.

1.CEBU TO TAGBILARAN
Cebu, you can go to Bohol (Tagbilaran) by Oceanjet Fastcraft or Lite Shipping Ferry (RORO). Oceanjet is just a small fast craft for passengers. If you want to bring your car, book the Lite Shipping Ferry (RORO).
How to get to Tagbilaran, Bohol from Cebu by Ferry:
- In Cebu City, make your way Cebu Pier 1 (Port of Cebu Passenger Terminal) where the Oceanjet and Lite Shipping Ferry are docked. I recommend purchasing a ticket prior to your trip to secure a seat. You can book through the links below. You may also walk in and purchase a ticket before the gate at the respective booth of the shipping companies.
- Once you are inside the passenger terminal, check-in at Oceanjet or Lite Shipping. You must do this at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure on your ticket. Basically, it’s like checking-in at the airport.
- After checking-in, wait for your trip at your designated gate.
Important: There are cafes and stores inside Cebu Pier 1 where you can dine and buy drinks. There are also souvenirs for sale.
