Lite Ferry Booking Office in Matnog
IMPORTANT: Ticket issuance is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM only. Meaning, you can only buy tickets during those hours. But this is for passengers only (with no vehicles). Walk-in is accepted for passengers only. If you have a vehicle; car, 4×4 wheels, 6 wheels, 8 wheels, 10 wheels, & trailers, 3 days reservation before departure is required. Meaning, you can reserve through the phone numbers listed above.
- We didn’t know the office hours, so we went there earlier, and the office was still closed. I returned around 2:00 PM and was able to secure a ticket for the day. But during peak season and holidays, please purchase your ticket in advance to secure a bed/seat.
- I thought they have an online booking because I found a Lite Ferry website online, but as per the poster at their Matnog ticket office, it’s clearly stated there that they don’t have an online booking. So, I’m not quite sure is that website is legit, because anyone can make a website. To be safe, best to just contact the numbers listed above for reservation. Or just go directky to their Matnog Office.
- Ferry usually leaves late, about 1 hour. Bring enough food or you can buy at the canteen inside the ferry.
- Lite Ferry has new vessels, I find them clean compared to the other ferries I tried before.
- Fully charge your phone or bring power banks for your phone. I didn’t notice a socket inside the cabin. But you can probably charge at the canteen or ask the staff.
- Bring ID so you can borrow a blanket. Yes, a blanket is provided for passengers in the Tourist Cabin, but ID is required. You need to return the blanket before the ferry docks at the destination port and make sure you don’t forget to claim your ID.
