It may look as if the urban mass of Ipoh dominates everything, but it actually oozes with delights waiting to be discovered; like scenic oases of green among the concrete jungle. All around is a landscape rich in history, whether it may be remarkable heritage buildings turned into artsy cafes and shops or elegant mansions. And then there is …. The Lost World of Tambun.
Waterpark
After a hearty meal (I love the chicken by the way, best I’ve tasted in Ipoh!), we went straight to the Lost World Waterpark. We didn’t get to try this because of limited time but I saw kids and teens having a grand time splashing in the waters, sliding down and floating away on the longest adventure river in Southeast Asia!
Amusement Park
Perfect for family bonding, the Amusement Park of the Lost World of Tambun in Perak offers fascinating carnival-styled games and rides that both adults and kids will enjoy!
Ever since I’m not really a huge fan of zoos, but lately I’m beginning to understand that not all of them are as bad as what I initially thought they are. I’m open to visiting them so long as the animals are well taken care of and they aim to educate as well as help in the call for conservation. At The Lost World of Tambun, there is an interactive animal sanctuary. Here visitors can learn facts and habits of animals; and feed and interact with them.
Tiger Valley
Siberian tigers have their own kingdom at The Lost World of Tambun, these dominant creatures will send shivers down your spine, as you watch them swim, climb and search for food.
Dramatic limestone peaks tower over the Lost World TinValley. Ipoh is known for its thriving tin mining business in the olden days. Experience and re-create the long-gone period of Malaysia tin mining history here!
Hot Spring and Spa
The theme park is also dotted with a handful of thermal spring where you can indulge and relax. At night, take a dip in the warm to hot waters to soothe your tired body.
Lost World Hotel
After a strenuous yet fun activity at the theme park, retire and get pampered at The Lost World Hotel. Wake up with a gorgeous view of the limestone hills! The spacious deluxe room features every amenity you expect to find in a posh hotel – from LCD cable TV, coffee maker, fridge, deposit box, and comfortable double beds.
