ALABANG STAYCATION: VIVERE HOTEL REVIEW

Sometimes, the best getaway doesn’t require a long drive or a flight.  For our recent Alabang staycation, my mother and I wanted somewhere that felt relaxing, but was still convenient enough to enjoy without spending hours on the road. That brought us to Vivere Hotel Alabang, conveniently located right at the heartbeat of Filinvest City, Muntinlupa.

Vivere Hotel is adding its own ingeniously, cozy, and elegant edge (yet not intimidating) to Alabang, sealing its credential as one of the best Alabang Hotels for staycation. And once you enter the hotel, it’s easy to see why.  What I found out during our stay was that Vivere Hotel isn’t simply a convenient hotel in Alabang.  It’s the kind of property where you can spend an entire weekend or weekdays without feeling the need to constantly go somewhere else.

VIVERE HOTEL LOBBY

VIVERE HOTEL 23

Vivere Hotel has a distinctly warm and homey character, it has a posh, living room-like space at the lobby.  The hotel’s design incorporates a modern Filipino craftsmanship and local materials.  Rather than feeling like a generic corporate hotel, the interiors have a more residential, nature-inspired quality, which fits Vivere’s description of homey luxury.

VIVERE HOTEL 17

The lobby exudes elegance with water features and koi, creating almost a resort-in-the-city atmosphere. It has a warm, earthy, and refined atmosphere because it is fringed by wood tones, warm-neutrals, and natural textures rather than ultra-modern glass-and-metal minimalism. It feels more like a polished home than a typical hotel with a grand staircase welcoming every guests.

VIVERE HOTEL 16

That feeling continues once you get to the rooms.

VIVERE HOTEL ALABANG ONE BEDROOM SUITE

One of the things that made our stay at Vivere Hotel Alabang particularly comfortable was the One-Bedroom Suite with nature-inspired interior and a classic, elegant touch.

The biggest selling point for me was the space. The room is about 40 sq meter, considerably more spacious than a typical hotel room.  Instead of having everything compressed into one room, the layout gives you distinct areas for sleeping, relaxing, dining, and preparing or enjoying simple food. It’s like an understated elegance.

The bedroom in the One-Bedroom Suite at Vivere Hotel Alabang feels like a proper private retreat rather than simply an extension of the living room. It has a comfortable queen-sized bed, a good size for two people sharing. But there’s also a sofa bed outside the room, that can accommodate 2 more person.

VIVERE HOTEL 2

The bed is dressed in crisp linens with generous comforter and several pillows, giving it that inviting hotel-bed look. After a full day of walking around Alabang, swimming and having dinner at The Nest, this was definitely the part of the room where we wanted to slow down.

What I particularly like was the bedroom didn’t feel overly formal or sterile. It has white-washed walls with nature-inspired interiors with locally made furnishings and traditionally woven fabrics from the Cordillera region, giving the room a warmer, more homey character.

One of the nicest features of our room was the view, you can look out towards Laguna de Bay and Filinvest City. If you’re hankering for city-skyline views, I’d recommend asking about the available city view or bay-facing room views when making your reservation, since the exact outlook can vary depending on the room and floor.

The bedroom also has a flat-screen TV and  complimentary Wi-Fi across the room. There are practical touches that make the bedroom work well for a longer stay, including bedside lighting, air-conditioning, and a work area outside the bedroom, near the dining and sofa bed.

THE LIVING ROOM

The Sala or living area is probably the space we used the most during our Alabang staycation.  I especially liked having a space where we could sit across from each other and have an unhurried conversation rather than feeling like everything had to happen around the bed.

VIVERE HOTEL 6

We could sit comfortably in the living area, have coffee or tea, watch TV or simply enjoy the view of Laguna de Bay or Filinvest City from our one-bedroom suite at Vivere Hotel Alabang.

THE DINING AREA

Right beside is the dining area, which adds another tier of comfort to the suite. It’s a small but meaningful detail making the suite feel closer to a serviced residence or comfortable apartment than a conventional hotel room.

VIVERE HOTEL 26

When you are staying for a night or two, having a proper table where you can sit down for breakfast, snacks, coffee, or even takeout makes the room feel much more functional.

THE KITCHENETTE

The kitchenette is another feature that sets the One-Bedroom Suite apart at Vivere Hotel Alabang. It’s not meant to replace a full kitchen, but it’s very useful for the kind of things you’d actually need during a hotel stay – preparing coffee, keeping drinks and snacks, reheating food and having a little more flexibility with meals.

IMG_0894

What I like about having a kitchenette is that it gives you the option to stay in. You can pick something from Festival mall, Landmark, West Gate or Molito, bring it back to the suite and enjoy it at your own dining table. Or you can simply make coffee or tea in the morning before heading upstairs to breakfast at The Nest.  It’s a small convenience but for a true Alabang staycation, those little convenience makes a difference.

The kitchenette also works particularly well for longer stays, for families with children staycation, friends or barkada staycation, or guests who don’t necessarily want to eat ever meal at a restaurant.

IMG_1009
The suite also comes with practical amenities including minibar, coffee/tea facilities, refrigerator and work desk.

BATHROOM

VIVERE HOTEL 25
The One-Bedroom Suite bathroom has a squeaky-clean bathroom with fully stocked bathroom amenities.  The newly renovated bathroom has bathtub and hot and cold rainfall shower.

VIVERE HOTEL 12

The bathroom also adds to the slightly more refined feeling of the suite.

VIVERE HOTEL BREAKFAST

VIVERE HOTEL 55

For in-house guests, every morning, you’ll find a generous buffet at The Nest, Vivere Hotel’s main restaurant The Nest, from 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Take your pick from several hot dishes – Filipino meals, American, etc. including Chef’s Special for the Day. But my mother and I were pretty interested in the healthy options – spread of cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurt, fruits, cereals, and breads.  They also serve orange and mango juice. You can order fresh coffee, warm tea, and my personal favorite – their hot chocolate.

VIVERE HOTEL 34

Take note though that the breakfast isn’t automatically added on the room rate, I noticed in some bookings sites, you have to add the breakfast for an extra fee. The fee I must say is reasonable, given the assortment and quality of the breakfast buffet plus the morning view of the surroundings and skyline.

VIVERE HOTEL 21

Because breakfast  here gives you a brighter view across Alabang and Laguna de Bay. You get the convenience of having breakfast inside the hotel while still having that elevated dining experience.

 VIVERE HOTEL 53

For a staycation in Alabang, this is exactly the kind of detail that makes the hotel feel self-contained: you wake up, get ready, take the elevator up, have breakfast with a view, and don’t have to think about where to eat first thing in the morning.

VIVERE HOTEL DINING: THE NEST

The emphasis on good food is illustrated by not one but two restaurants at Vivere Hotel Alabang: The Nest and Picasso. But we only get to dine at The Nest as my mother caught a fever on our second night at the hotel, so we requested for room service for dinner, there’s no extra fee but tipping is highly appreciated.

VIVERE HOTEL 20
There’s something about having dinner high above Alabang as the sun goes down. During the day, you can appreciate the surrounding cityscape and Laguna de Bay view.  But during the last light of the day, the view transforms  into the lights of Metro South. The atmosphere becomes more intimate, making The Nest Dining in the Sky particularly suitable for a date night, family dinner, birthday, anniversary, or simply a special dinner during your staycation.

VIVERE HOTEL 43

But the view isn’t the only reason to come. The Nest’s menu focuses on international cuisine and comfort food inspired dishes, with cocktails and other drinks available as well.

What I appreciated was that the food complements the experience instead of making the restaurant feel like it’s relying entirely on the view.  Here’s the lit of food that we tried for dinner during our stay at Vivere Hotel.

VIVERE HOTEL FACILITIES

A good Alabang Hotel needs to offer more than a comfortable bed, especially if you’re booking specifically for a staycation.

Vivere Hotel has several facilities that make it easier to spend most of your days or weekend within the property.

 VIVERE HOTEL SWIMMING POOL

If you want to slow down, Vivere Hotel has a swimming pool operating from 5:30 AM to 9:30 PM. For families, this can easily be part of your Alabang Weekend Staycation itinerary. Or it’s also a simple way to break up a day of lounging around the room.

VIVERE HOTEL 37

VIVERE HOTEL GYM / FITNESS CENTER

VIVERE HOTEL 46

There’s also a fitness center/gym for guests who don’t want to abandon their workout routine while on vacation.  It’s a practical amenity, particularly for business travelers staying in Alabang or guests spending several nights at the hotel.

VIVERE HOTEL 44

VIVERE HOTEL SPA

If you’re looking for a more relaxing  experience, Vivere Hotel also offers spa services. Another feature that fits the hotel’s overall staycation appeal: you can combine a spacious suite, swimming, dining, and a spa treatment without having to plan a separate trip around the city.

VIVERE HOTEL 57

VIVERE HOTEL FAMILY-FRIENDLY FACILITIES

Vivere Hotel also has a Kiddie Playroom on the 8th floor that is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. So while our mother-daughter staycation was more about relaxing and dining, families with younger children have additional reasons to consider this hotel.

VIVERE HOTEL 38

VIVERE HOTEL ALABANG PARKING

One underrated advantage of Vivere Hotel is the parking situation. It has free parking and valet service for in-house guests.

VIVERE HOTEL 36

For a staycation in Alabang, this makes a difference. You don’t want to arrive at your hotel already stressed about where to leave your car. Having parking available makes the entire experience much more convenient, especially for families and guests driving from the south.

Vivere Hotel is also accessible from SLEX, and it’s approximately 30-minute drive from NAIA depending on traffic.

VIVERE HOTEL STAFF AND SERVICE

Another part of our Vivere Hotel Alabang experience that stood out was the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, courteous and attentive without being overly formal. There was a genuine sense of hospitality throughout our stay, which made the experience feel more personal.

What I appreciate most was how approachable everyone was. Whether we were checking in asking about the hotel facilities, heading to The Nest for dinner or simply moving around the property, the staff were consistently pleasant and helpful.

For our Alabang staycation, that kind of service makes a difference. You want the experience to feel easy and comfortable, especially when you’re there to relax rather than worry about the details. The property has an elegant feel, but the service keeps it from feeling intimidating or overly formal. Indeed, a truly world-class service.

VIVERE HOTEL 45
Of course, service can vary depending on the timing and individual experience, but during our stay, we found the staff welcoming and accommodating.

For me, that’s an important part of what makes a good Alabang Hotel. A beautiful room and great facilities are wonderful, but it’s the people who can turn a hotel stay into an experience you actually remember.

And in our case, the warm service definitely contributed to making our stay at Vivere Hotel feel special.

VIVERE HOTEL REVIEW SUMMARY

So, why stay at Vivere Hotel Alabang? The location is probably one of Vivere’s strongest advantage. It is right in the middle of Alabang, one of Metro Manila’s business and lifestyle districts.

VIVERE HOTEL 47

And you don’t have to go far for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Festival Mall and Landmark are very accessible (you can even walk to get there), where you can shop, eat catch a movie and enjoy family-friendly activities.

 VIVERE HOTEL 59

And so is Westgate Commercial Center, another popular dining and lifestyle destination. For a more curates shopping and dining experience, there’s Alabang Town Center.

 IMG_3466

If you’re more into restaurants and cafes, Molito is also worth exploring. That means, you can easily turn your hotel staycation into a full things to do in Alabang itinerary.

 VIVERE HOTEL 69

And if you simply want to walk around and enjoy the outdoors, the Filinvest City has landscaped areas, parks, and pedestrian-friendly spaces that give Alabang a greener, more relaxed feel, than many other parts of Metro Manila.

 VIVERE HOTEL 58

For business travelers, the location is equally convenient because the Northgate Cyberzone and the wider Filinvest Business District are nearby.

So, if you’re searching for a spacious Alabang Hotel for a staycation in Alabang or a comfortable Metro Manila Staycation, Vivere Hotel is worth considering. I’d especially recommend it if you value room space, convenient location, dining, city views, and hotel facilities over minimalist, ultra-modern hotel experience.

VIVERE HOTEL 41

The One-Bedroom Suite gives you room to actually live during your stay, while The Nest provides memorable dining experience that brings everything together.

And if you’re traveling with your mother like me, with your partner or family, there’s something especially nice about not having to rush.

You can spend morning over breakfast, enjoy the pool, relax in your suite, explore Alabang for a few hours, then come back for dinner at The Nest or Picasso.

Sometimes, that’s all you need for a great staycation.
